The Hotel & Catering Show is now only four months away and we’re working hard to make it bigger and better than ever. The show fills two halls at the Bournemouth International Centre, and in 2016, in response to increased industry demand, the Solent Hall will now be totally dedicated to drink products & related services, and called the Liquid Hall.
Located in the Liquid Hall will be the Mixology Bar; the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink zone organised in partnership with Nectar Imports and the UK Bartenders Guild, situated around a central feature Bar. Here mixologists will be working with a range of ingredients sourced at the show to deliver demos and workshops. Trade shows can be thirsty work so, alongside the Bar, the drinks hall will also have a beer garden, featuring Fuller’s craft beers. Where better to take a break and plan which exhibitors to see next?
Sue Palmer, Marketing Manager at Nectar Imports: “The new Liquid Hall provides us with a great environment in which to showcase some of the fantastic brands we represent including local specialities and smaller, premium brands in the drinks trade”.
Salvatore Damiano, Vice Chairman of the UK Bartenders Guild, and Lounge and Bar Manager of the Captain’s Club Hotel, Christchurch: “The UK Bartenders’ Guild are looking forward to this opportunity to show off the fantastic mixology skills of our barmen. Our barmen are the top in their field and never fail to impress with their creations ”.
Mike Anderson, Director of Hale Events: “The experience and expertise of Nectar Imports and The UK Bartenders Guild brings the show something really special and we can’t wait to find out all about the latest and emerging trends in mixology and the drinks sector”.
In addition to these features, both halls at the show will have an artisan area which will respectively showcase local food and drink producers, many of whom are unique to the show, organised in partnership with Dorset Food & Drink and Hampshire Fare. There is also a lively demo kitchen in the Windsor Hall, which combines celebrated chefs, who will share skills and knowledge with you, with cooking demos by local chefs, bakers and more.
We’re really excited about the 2016 show, and it’s great to see it all coming together. Which features are you looking forward to seeing?
